Since 1st July 2016, the Uganda Government started the e-visa application system. This means that all persons intending to travel into Uganda will have to apply for their visas online prior to their arrival.
The Government of Uganda came up with this kind of system largely to simplify and speed up obtaining visas for her arrivals. online a visa application is done here https://visas.immigration.go.ug/

Also you will receive an e-visa approval that you will print and present to the immigration on your arrival to Uganda for your visa to be issued. Visa payments will also be done at this point.
