This 25 day Single Destination Safari Package will take you to some the world’s finest natural parks such as the Kidepo Valley National Park. Hike through the stunning Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi to set your eyes with the Giant yet Gentle Mountain Gorillas, track the Chimpanzees in Kibale Rainforest, enjoy both safari activities and  boat safaris and also get to relax at the 2nd deepest lake in Africa – lake Bunyonyi. This trip is filled with adventure, magnificent sceneries, action and energy making it one of the best from the shelf.

Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Welcome to Uganda – THE Pearl of Africa! Go through the necessary immigration procedures and thereafter, meet and greet by our representative. Transfer to your hotel in Entebbe for overnight.

Note: You can obtain a visa at a cost of $50pp from Immigrations upon arrival or if also traveling to Kenya and Rwanda, an East African tourist visa at a cost of $100pp.

Day 2 – To Jinja – East Africa’s Adventure Capital

Morning breakfast, check out and head Eastern via Kampala driving through trading centers and roadside markets. Start your day’s adventure with a visit to Ssezibwa Falls; these are spectacular falls that emanate from two rivers that flow from Mabira Forest. An informative guide will narrate numerous stories with culture and deity inclination. Proceed for a Forest Walk in Mabira Forest to catch glimpse of some primates and other plant and animal species. Proceed to the Source of the Nile; you will have an occasion to ride on a boat to see where the Nile states it’s approximately 6000kms journey to Med Sea in Egypt. You will also have an occasion to see the Speke Monument which stands where John Speke stood and declared the discovery of the Source to the Mysterious Nile River. Break for lunch and visit the now submerged Bujagali Rapids. Retire to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 3 – To Sipi Falls

Early morning breakfast, check out and transfer through various cultivated gardens of crops like bananas, rice farms, rural homes and towns like Iganga, Bugiri, Mbale before reaching Kapchorwa District – the home of Sipi Falls in time for lunch. After lunch, have an afternoon coffee tour in the locality of Sipi. The coffee trip gives you a chance to learn the process behind making coffee. Talk to the farmers, see the plantations and then roast your own coffee to take home with you.

Day 4 – In Sipi Falls

Have a morning breakfast and go for the cave walk and hike to the series of three tall waterfalls of Sipi that plunge along the lower slopes of Mt Elgon. Return to the lodge for lunch and stay at leisure enjoying the ambience around Sipi or if you wish, undertake any of the available optional activities.

Day 5 – To Gulu

Morning breakfast, check out and bid farewell to Sipi for a departure journey to Gulu. Transfer through the Mbale-Soroti-Lira road with a lunch break in between. Continue to Gulu arriving later in the afternoon. Retire to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 6 – To Kidepo Valley National Park

Have morning breakfast, check out and transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park arriving late in the afternoon. Have an introductory game drive before retiring to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 7 – In Kidepo Valley National Park

Whole day game safariin the park experiencing breathtaking Savannah landscapes of Kidepo, which end in rugged horizon as well as encounter animals such as buffalos, lions, antelopes, Uganda’s only cheetah etc! Also, the game drives shall take the route to the Kidepo valley section of the park via Kidepo seasonal river. The semi-arid section of the park is home to hot springs and to elegant and majestic Ostriches.  This section of the park also commands amazing sceneries of mountains across the border in Sudan.

Day 8 – In Kidepo Valley National Park

Sunrise game adventure! In the afternoon, have a village walk to the Karamajong village. Experience the cultures of the Karamoja region ethnic groups like the Labworians and the Ike people. Return to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 9 – To Gulu

Day 10 – To Murchison Falls National Park

Morning breakfast, check and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, have an introductory game safari to catch a glimpse of some of the amazing wildlife!

Day 11 – In Murchison Falls National Park

Embark on an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Go trailing animals and studying animal spoors. Game in this area includes Giraffe, Elephant, Buffalo, Hartebeests, Lion, Uganda Safari Kob, Oribi and a variety of Savannah and woodland birds. After the lunch break, take a boat trip on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls for game viewing at close quarters. This is a paradise of Hippos, Crocodiles and Waterbucks. The boat stops a few meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. Enjoy photographic sessions of the Mighty Murchison Falls! Thereafter, take a hike to the magnificent top of the falls where you marvel at the Mighty Nile being forced into a 6 meter crevice to thunder 40 meters below in a series of cascades!!!

Day 12 – In Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning breakfast and proceed for a 4 – 5 boat trip down stream to the delta where the Nile meets Lake Albert. Whilst on the boat, enjoy beautiful and magnificent views of the park as well as amazing animals and many bird species along the Nile. Look out for the elusive shoebill stork! Return to your respective accommodation for lunch and stay at leisure the rest of the afternoon.

Day 13 – To Kibale Forest National Park

Morning breakfast, check out and bid farewell to Murchison Falls. Take a long ride to Kibale Forest travelling along the Albertine Rift (look out for spectacular views from the top of the Albert rift) and passing close to Lake Albert. En-route stop over for our picnic lunch and to stretch our legs. Continue with our journey to Kibale arriving in the early evening where the night falls with the sounds and whispers of the tropical rainforest.

Day 14 – In Kibale Forest National Park

After early morning breakfast, transfer to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for briefing prior to the chimpanzee tracking activity. Have a morning spell in the forest as you track the Chimpanzees and other primates resident in this rainforest.  In the afternoon, have a Bigodi Swamp Walk. This is an initiative of the local people geared towards conservation in this area. On this swamp walk you have chances for seeing different birds & butterfly species, primates like black and white colobus monkey, red tailed monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabeys, etc. There is also a variety of interesting plant species.

Day 15 – Kibale – Fort Portal – Semuliki – Queen Elizabeth NP (Mweya sector):

Morning breakfast and together with our packed lunch boxes, check out and transfer to the Nyakasura region in Fort Portal for a visit to the Amabere caves and the Nyakasura falls. Besides being a prominent cultural attraction in Nyakasura, the caves are also special because of the attractive features called stalactites and stalagmites. The caves also have a cultural attachment to the Chwezi Dynasty! Thereafter, proceed to Semuliki National Park for a nature walk through a modern trail network to the Sempaya Hot springs; two hot springs in a tract of hot mineral thick swampland, endowed with birds, insects and mammal life. Enjoy a view of a two-meter spray of hot water (130 Degrees Centigrade) and a pool (12m diameter) of discharging hot water (106 Degrees Centigrade). Interestingly, you can boil food like eggs in the natural boiler within ten minutes and eat it!!! Picnic lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 16 – In Queen Elizabeth National Park (Mweya sector): 

A sunrise game drive adventure!!! This park has got different vegetation types and eco-systems such as tropical forest, grassy plains, rivers, lakes – Edward and George, swamps and volcanic craters which harbor amazing wildlife species.  With the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop, game drives in the park provides excellent opportunities to encounter  elephants, cape buffalos, thousands of Uganda Kobs, lions, leopard, Topi, giant forest hog, de fassa waterbuck and bush buck. After lunch, have a two hours boat trip on the famous Kazinga Channel that links Lakes Edward and George. The launch cruise is not only a wonderful way to see schools of hippos and the occasional Nile crocodile but also offers spectacular bird watching, game viewing and photography opportunities.

Day 17 – In Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha sector):

Morning breakfast, check out and to the Ishasha plains arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a game drive on the Ishasha plains and if lucky, catch glimpse of the tree climbing lions often seen languishing in fig trees as well as utilizing the network trails of park neighboring Congo.

Day 18 – To Bwindi National Park

Morning breakfast, check out and exit the park on a game drive as you transfer via Kihihi and through villages, cultivated farms, hills and a tea plantation to the Northern section of Bwindi NP (also known as Buhoma) – THE Home of the Mountain Gorillas!

Day 19 – In Bwindi National Park – Gorilla Trek

An early morning breakfast and together with our packed lunches and Gorilla trekking gear, report to the UWA park headquarters at Bwindi for registration and pre-briefing before you start the trek. After briefing and in groups of 8 pax each, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure!! The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. Time allowed to spend with the Gorillas is 1 hr. To many, a visit to these gentle and endangered giants is such an awesome, exciting and memorable experience to be long savoured! Note: The Gorilla trek may take up to 8hrs of hiking in the rugged terrain so good physical condition is a MUST!

Day 20 – To Kisoro

Morning breakfast, check out and transfer to Kisoro enjoying breath taking views through hills with cultivated terraces, mountains and a forest. Upon arrival at the last hill, there unfolds the beautiful views of the virunga volcanoes of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. At this point, we are just a short distance away from Kisoro, where we arrive and check into our respective accommodation.

Morning breakfast and report to the Uganda Wildlife Authority Offices of Mgahinga NP for pre-briefing before your Golden Monkey trek. Thereafter, return to the lodge for lunch and stay at leisure the rest of the day.

Day 22 – To Lake Bunyonyi

A late morning breakfast and check out of the “Land of the Bafumbira”. Transfer to Kabale also known as – “THE Switzerland of Africa” and characterized by terraced farming and beautiful mountain scenery! What mostly attracts people to Lake Bunyonyi is its zigzag pattern. Arrival in time for lunch and after lunch, have a canoe ride on the lake to check out some of the floating and prominent islands on the lake.

Day 23 – To Lake Mburo National Park

A late morning breakfast, check out and bid farewell to Kabale. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with lunch en-route. Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, have an early evening game drive before retiring to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 24 – In Lake Mburo National Park

An early rise to a cup of coffee/tea with a bite! Embark on a safari walk for a face to face encounter with the residents of Lake Mburo whilst on foot. Return to your accommodation for a fully-fledged breakfast and a little relaxation. After lunch, transfer to Rwonyo for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo with chances of seeing schools of hippos, crocodile, the African Fish Eagle and much more.

Day 25 – Return to Entebbe

Morning breakfast, check out and drive back to Entebbe with an en-route brief stop at the Uganda Equator. Drop off at Entebbe International Airport for onward departure.

Note: Possibility of us taking you to a hotel / guesthouse where you can have dinner and refresh prior to your transfer to the Airport. Dinner is approx. $30pp and use of a day room is $130 for up market accommodation, $115 for midrange accommodation and $50 for budget accommodation.
