This 4 day Virunga Gorilla safari gives you an amazing encounter of the Gorillas of Virunga National Park. Gorilla tracking here is a charming experience. Your gorilla tracking adventure will not be strenuous as the guide will set a pace appropriate for your team. In an effort to double your chances of meeting gorillas, a team of spotter will head out into the forest to search for them ahead of your arrival. They will keep giving your team leader real time updates about their whereabouts via walkie talkies. The longevity of the trek depends on where the gorillas are and how fast they are moving as they browse. It could take an average of two hours, so be sure to carry with you enough drinking water. On your way-you will encounter lots of chimpanzees. You could use your binoculars to watch them as they eat, rest and mate high in the trees.

Day 1

Arrival in Kigali – Rwanda:

Welcome to Rwanda – THE Land of a Thousand Hills! Meet and greet by our representative who will then transfer you to your hotel in Kigali for overnight. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in followed by a brief safari briefing. Overnight in Kigali.

Day 2

Kigali to Virunga National Park – Congo

Enjoy morning breakfast. Thereafter, check out and traverse Rwanda, Goma and through to Virunga National Park in Congo. Arrival in the afternoon and later, enjoy a nature walk to end your day in an adventurous manner.

Day 3

In Virunga National Park – Gorilla Tracking

After morning breakfast, depart for the park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla adventure. The longevity of the trek depends on where the gorillas are and how fast they are moving as they browse. It could take an average of three hours, so be sure to carry with you enough drinking water. After an hour with the gorillas, you will hike back to the park's office where our driver guide will be waiting to take you to your preferred accommodation facility.

Day 4

Virunga National Park to Kigali & Departure

Enjoy sunrise in Virunga NP. After morning breakfast, check out and return to Kigali. Time permitting and depending on your departure flight, enjoy a Kigali City Tour with a visit to the Genocide Memorial Museum at Gisozi. Drop off at the airport in time for your departure flight.
