Overview

This Gorillas and Wildlife Safari explores the best of the wildlife corridor in western Uganda with a mix of savannah and forest parks. The tour starts with an adventure in Lake Mburo National Park, the only place in Uganda where impala still occur and is the best place to see large herds of eland (Africa’s largest antelope). You then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a pristine rain forest park that sprawls over steep hills in the Albertine Rift Valley and a UNESCO world heritage park. End your tour with Queen Elizabeth National Park, a medley of wonders.

Itinerary

Day 1
Entebbe / Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park

You will be picked by our tour guide from your hotel or residence in Entebbe or Kampala. Drive westwards to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the equator. Upon arrival at the park, have a boat cruise on Lake Mburo and a sunset game drive.

Day 2
Lake Mburo to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bid farewell to Lake Mburo National Park. Drive through Mbarara –Kabale road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 3
In Bwindi National Park

Gorilla tracking day! A face to face encounter with the Gentle Giants!

Day 4
Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning departure from Bwindi after breakfast. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for a late afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

 

Day 5
Queen Elizabeth to Kampala / Entebbe / Departure

Sunrise game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Exit the park and return to Kampala or Entebbe or proceed to the airport if having a departure flight.
